Salem is located just outside Cheltenham town centre, and most of our services are led by our minster the Revd. Andy Grice.
Salem has been part of Cheltenham life since 1836. During that time we've moved around a bit and now meet in purpose-built premises on Gloucester Road. God has been good to us over the years and we have worked to maintain our evangelical witness to the gospel in both words and deeds.
We are a mix of people of varying ages and backgrounds. We have a number of families and take our children seriously, both during the service and in their own groups, and also have members in their 90s. In our worship we use both new songs and old hymns. Our rule of thumb is "does it glorify God?". We aim for vibrant services where we know we have met God and are touched by his Spirit.
We're linked with WEBA and the Baptist Union, and are also part of an ecumenical cluster of churches in our area.
