He has Risen!! - Easter Sunday - 8 April 2012

Introduction

It's Sunday! Alleluia, Christ has risen!

And yet, have you noticed that the Biblical accounts of Easter all suggest that the disciples haven't got a clue what's going on!

Accepted

This is a video that I saw at NWA and thought was rather appropriate for Easter:

Since the fall at Eden, we've been trying to cover our sin. But can any covering we make ever be enough?

This video looks at how our sin is dealt with by God - at great cost, with a vision of glory and beauty. Watch this video for a reflection on how we see sin being dealt with in the Bible and how we try to deal with it in our own lives today.

Uncover

I've just recently got back from New Word Alive and thought I'd share this

Judgement and Justice - Sunday 25 March - Palm Sunday 2012

Introduction

So on Sunday mornings we've been looking at the book of Joshua, and this morning we've arrived at the last three verses of Chapter 5 ... this wonderful but slightly weird encounter between Joshua and an unknown warrior with a drawn sword in his hand.

Messy March

Really enjoyed all the piggy crafts at Messy Church on Sunday as we thought about the Return of the Prodigal Son

Glad that we didn't have to eat any pigswill though! Thank you to everyone who helped and took part. I'm looking forward to the next event on April 29th!

Belong, Believe, Behave - Sunday 25 March 2012

Introduction - A Story

I once heard a preacher tell a story about 2 friends ... Jim and Bob ...

Jim was taking Bob sailing, and as they were travelling to the sailing club ... Bob says to Jim ...

“I never knew you were a sailor”

To which Jim replied ... oh yes ... my parents have been members of this sailing club for years ...

... but what about you, says Bob ... how long have you been sailing ...

Oh well my Mum and Dad took me along to the club when I was tiny ... and I’m down at the club most weekends ...

Messy Church in March

I'm looking forward to Messy Church on Sunday ... hope to see you there.
