Passage:
John 20:1-31

Introduction

So this morning we are continuing our series looking at the Great Commission ... So far we've spent some time thinking about disciple making from Matthew 28, creation care as we preach the Good News to the whole of creation from Mark, then last week, we looked at Luke an we thought a little about being a witness to the Gospel as revealed in the storyline of the Bible as we played a massive game of broken telephone ...

'The Great Commission' - 22 January 2012

Passage:
Psalms 1:1-6
Passage:
Matthew 28:16-20

Introduction

So over the next few weeks I want us to think a little about 'The Great Commission' ...

There are a few reasons for this ... the first is the real danger that often the 'Great Commission' of the Church has become the 'Great Omission' of the church ... that although we are vaguely aware of the Great Commission we fail to think about it or ... perhaps more significantly ... do anything about it.

Passage:
Luke 1:46-56

Intro to Advent

I know its a cliche ... but it really does seem to me that Christmas is starting earlier and earlier every year ... and it seems to me that one of the problems with that is that you get so used to the Christmas decorations that the reality of Christmas kind of sneaks up on you ... but here we are ... the first Sunday of Advent ...
